Water
Water is the most important part of life for plants and animals, and we all must look after water quality when we are working in the forest.
We can all take steps to look after the waterways in the following way:
- Don’t re-fuel machines near waterways or filter strips;
- Don’t drive machines through waterways or filter strips;
- Do not fell trees into waterways;
- Where possible divert or stop water running down wheel ruts;
- Rubbish is to be removed from the forest so it doesn’t pollute the water.
