Safety Considerations

Timber harvesting operations must be conducted in a safe manner at all times.

(OH&S) regulations, worksite policies and procedures must be followed by all forest workers and any person entering the forest.

Operate the feller buncher safely and to its designed capabilities, forest conditions and changing weather patterns.

Before you start working in the feller buncher your employers and yourself must identify any hazards that may occur because of the work activities.

Assess the risks that any hazards might bring about, put in place controls to prevent the hazard and notify your supervisor, employer or forest owner and review the hazard regularly.
